Effective safeguarding training should not just identify who to report to if a disclosure is made – but should train to identify a danger, indicators of abuse, and unsafe behaviours. Safeguard training is required for all who work with young people.
Learning to read behaviours, knowledge of local issues, and creating an environment where children can communicate their fears and anxieties, along with effective reporting systems can help to safeguard the vulnerable, and identify those subject to neglect and abuse. Knowledge is key.

Bespoke training day for children, staff and parents on identifying dangers, concerning behaviours, and protecting children, online, within the family, and community. Robust safeguarding training will meet the requirements of OFSTED/ESTYN, ensuring a successful outcome for the safeguarding aspect of any inspection.
Qualifications
Esther Vaughan is a trained level 3 safeguarding instructor in the ‘Principles of safeguarding and protecting children, young people or vulnerable adults’. A retired teacher from secondary school, with extensive experience within the school system. Courses are a blend of knowledge from CEOP (Police training on ‘Child Exploitation and Online Protection’) training, with deeper knowledge from a close liaison with Marilyn Hawes (CEO- Enough Abuse ) in training and sharing information for the protection of young people.
